General members meetings

Please attend our first General Member’s Meeting of the year.

• Thursday, 3 September, 13:30 to 14:30. Link and Location TBC. This is now a decision point for our branch. Management has pressed ahead on redundancies in a series of units, most recently in Modern Languages. They have done the latest consultation without disclosing the equality assessment, without financial modelling, without hearing grievances, and they are now seeking Council sign-off by email, through a procedure its own governance documents do not provide for. At this meeting, members will decide our next steps: how we compel management to engage in good faith with the union, and what action we take to prevent compulsory redundancies. Every member’s voice matters in that decision. Please put it in your diary now, and come.
